Brown rice cereal time. She didn't like it much a few weeks ago but we are going to try it again.
There were a few funny faces but a wide open mouth for most of it. While the last few bites ran out of her mouth overall, it was a success.

A day trip to New Orleans!
Katie traveled well, sleeping most of the morning. Even though the 3.5 hour trip took us 8 hours because of meals and traffic she kept a smile on her face. 
Mom forgot her sunglasses at home.

This is the river walk next to the mouth of the Mississippi. From here to the Acme Oyster House for delicious chargrilled oysters on the half shell. Dessert was cafe au lait and beignets from Cafe du Monde. It was a late drive back home but it felt wonderful to climb into our own beds.
